Xbox 360 gamers to get Texas Hold 'em for free
August 22, 2006
As a way to promote the Xbox Live Arcade Service even
further, Microsoft is offering Texas Hold 'em Poker for
free between this 1 AM Pacific Wednesday through 1 AM Pacific
Friday. Gamers will have to download the game on the Xbox
Live Marketplace during the time setting to get it for free.
This will surely peeve anyone that actually paid for the
arcade game, but they are a minority. Lately, Street Fighter
II: Hyper Fighting and Pac-Man have been topping the charts,
leaving little to no attention to some of the other recent
arcade games. Microsoft is probably hoping that gamers will
find Texas Hold 'em enjoyable, and encourage gamers to take
a look into other card-based arcade games on the Xbox Live
Marketplace.
Either way, free stuff is totally awesome; lets just hope
Microsoft continues the trend to expose the overlooked games
on Xbox Live Arcade.
